Curtis Stigers

A high-profile vocalist who sometimes plays saxophone, Curtis Stigers was born on October 18, 1965 in Hollywood, California, but grew up in Boise, Idaho.  Heading to New York after high school, he scuffled until 1991, when he signed with Arista Records.  His debut album, Curtis Stigers, went multi-platinum, with follow-ups Time Was (1995) and Brighter Days (Columbia, 1999).  From 2001 to 2014 he recorded on Concord & Concord Jazz.  His 2012 release Let's Go Out Tonight showed his affinity for country music.  His biggest single was I Wonder Why which made it to #9 on the 1991 Billboard Chart.
