90th Anniversary List

As part of its 90th Anniversary celebrations, DownBeat magazine published an article entitled "The 90 Greatest Jazz Artists of All Time!" in its April 2024 Edition.  Calling it a "nearly impossible mission", the DB Staff nevertheless set out their final 90 in alphabetical order over six pages of thumbnail vignettes. 

We thought we would do our bit to get in the spirit of the concept by collecting the results and presenting some options for further research, in the form of links to our great jazz inventory.  You can use the menu items or this click-through list:
