Widely known as "Mr. Time", Cliff Leeman was born in Portland, Maine in 1913.  His forte was swing, and he held down some of the top drum chairs of the day: Artie Shaw, Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Charlie Barnet, Woody Herman and Glen Gray.  He also recorded on some of the early Bill Haley & His Comets hits.
