"Unique", "casual", "quirky" - all these terms apply to Mose Allison.  Born in Tippo, Mississippi on November 11th, 1927, Mose Allison played some jazz and sang a lot of blues in a style that was very "Mose".  I was instantly interested when I read a DownBeat reviewer in the 60s claim that Mr. Allison's piano sounded "like he had gloves on".
