Cat_Anderson

Cat Anderson was a trumpeter known far and wide for his high-note prowess but he was also capable of polished, professional playing in all registers.  He held down the first trumpet chair with Duke Ellington's orchestra from 1944 to 1971 (with a couple of breaks leading his own band).  From 1971 to his death in 1981, he was a fixture on the Los Angeles studio scene.
