Bob Clegg Jazz Octet & Friends [CD]

Here is a 'chamber jazz' ensemble playing several standards - and a few original compositions. Several are arrangments recorded by the Dave Pell Jazz octet from the 50's 'cool' westcoast sound. Arrangers include : Marty Paich, Shorty Rogers, Bob Florence, Rick Wilkins. As a contrast Mary Panacci (Toronto) sings 4 tunes. This CD received excellent reviews by Geof Chapman - Toronto Star columnist & Terry McElligott - JAZZ91 FM (Toronto).
